From the introduction: Strangers (some connected) in a hotel in 1982 somewhere in the Nevada desert. The hotel itself has become a central point of conflict between the forces of light and darkness, with the Demiurge essentially having established this as a test of the archons and death angels. As such, the hotel itself has become increasingly unstable, with weird events playing out throughout the night. All players are trapped in the hotel until morning.
