I’d offer you my condolences for your loss, but given your current circumstances, it might be more appropriate to mourn for what’s to come. You indeed died, but your lower soul, the P’o, was of sufficient strength to literally break out of Hell and tear through the Wall between the worlds, and so, you’ve taken your Second Breath and risen from the grave as one of the Kuei-Jin, or the Wan Kuei, Cathayan, Eastern or Asian vampires, whatever you wish to call them. Kuei-Jin typically arise from deaths in a manner similar to ghosts, having returned to put to rest unfinished business. Said business is often a Karmic debt to be repaid, and through the use of Dharmas, enlightenment can be achieved and the debt repaid, but the Road Back is long and perilous.
