User summary Kidnap Machine is a print-and-play solitaire boardgame. There is a variant Version called Obscura (see below). You woke up in a dark room, and you feel the presence of something horrible. You must get out of the room using your wisdom and luck. To play the game, you need a die, two pawns, a pencil, and a printed square-grid play sheet. You may move two squares in a turn, but must end your turn after you try to enter a new square, in which case you roll a die. You cannot move if the result is less than the movement difficulty designated on the original square. Otherwise, you move to the new square and roll a die to determine the movement difficulty for that square. Then the monster moves. Basically it moves along the predetermined route, but while you are within the area of its sight, it approaches you.
