Order your cannoneers to take aim at enemy forces, use your ammo strategically, and avoid incoming cannonballs to claim victory in Cannon Corps. Each player uses their favorite set of seven standard role-playing dice (d4, d6, d8, d10, d10%, d12, d20) on a 4-by-3 battlefield grid, obscuring enemies' view of their area. To start, they secretly place four dice on their highest face as platoons on any of their twelve grid spaces. Players take turns choosing one of their platoons to fire with and one of the twelve grid spaces to aim at. Any enemy die that's hit suffers subtractive damage equal to the value shown on the firing die, and then has the option to move to any adjacent space. If a die fires with a value of 1, everything it hits is reduced to 0. After a die fires it is reduced by half, rounding down. A die is removed from the battlefield when it is reduced to 0, and its commander replaces it with one of their three initially unused dice. Players are eliminated when their fourth die is reduced to 0, until just one triumphant commander remains! —description from the designer
