Jenseits des Lichts

Translated from the back of the book: "'Beyond the Light' Courage and shrewdness - grand virtues! Formerly, the shrewd could make a fortune on the island of Maraskan - he just had to be courageous enough to cheat the imperial occupants good and proper! Good old times: Not everyone was clever enough to timely bring his grifted wealth into safety. Still many jingling and gleaming ducats remain on the island that holds so many strange secrets - unfortunate, abandoned, lonely! How much good could be done with these riches whose origin nobody will ask for anymore? You could feed the poor, make the innkeepers rich and live on the fat of the land! Before though, you'd just have to bring together what belongs together: an old grafter, a group of young heroes, and a timeless pretty penny of ducats! Sure, a certain risk is also involved in this rescue service favourable to Phex, god of merchants and thieves. Maraskan is still part of the Black Lands. But isn't it always like that?"
