While many think of the war's naval campaigns as a static blockade around the Confederacy, the truth of the matter is that it was actually just as desperate, bloody affair just like the other aspects of the conflict. From the coastal regions of Virginia and the muddy rivers of the Mississippi Valley to the far flung freezing waters of Alaska's Bering Strait, Union and Confederate navies fought for dominance. Dawn of Iron puts you in command of a Civil War-era vessel, or a full squadron of them.
