In Exile

User summary: In Exile is atypical for a role-playing game inasmuch as the Game Master acts as a character (the "Queen in Chains") with a central role in the narrative structure. While mechanically this role functions somewhat like a traditional role-playing setup, the conceptual inclusion of the Game Master is a compelling change. The players in turn attempt to execute actions in behalf of the Queen in Chains. While primarily narrative, the game uses a simple dice mechanism to select from narrative options that have a potentially notable impact on the game.
