I’m Sure You’re All Wondering Why I’ve Gathered You Here This Evening is a roleplaying game where players find themselves trapped in a mansion playing a deadly game where only one will emerge alive. That lucky winner will inherit the vast riches of The Deceased; a wealthy eccentric that all the guests know somehow. The game usually plays out over the course of 1 evening (around 3 hours). But, of course, your group can roleplay as long as they want! Players will each draw cards that tell a bit about the guests they’ll be inhabiting during the evening. After the guests have been introduced, the players will each add details of who The Deceased was in life. Next, the players will all take turns exploring the mansion. Players might talk to other guests, hunt for objects in the mansion, or get to cutting down their competition. This premise is a dark one, but we invite you to treat the game as a melodramatic, farcical play in which everyone is over-acting and silly. —description from the publisher
