From Introduction: A household knight bears the title and noble trappings of knighthood, but is landless. Therefore, most household knights live in residence with the lord they serve. In return for loyal service, a lord grants the household knight provisions and upkeep. Though they bear no heraldry of their own, they are permitted to wear a small badge representative of their lord and loyal service.
