From the introduction: Mundane Bradley has just passed away and his relatives have come to Bradley Manor to hear the reading of the will. Unbeknownst to them Chelmer Bradley, the son of Mundane, is the head of a smuggling ring and is due to receive a consignment on this very day. Unfortunately he could not tell his partners of the unexpected death of his father so the shipment date could not be changed to a more convenient time. Chelmer's wife Elizabeth is quite mad and has been committing vampire like murders of young girls. Thus smugglers, the coastguards who are expecting a shipment somewhere in this area tonight and other odd people are also present at the wake. Some people may also take this opportunity to try and find the rumoured hidden treasure of Bradley Manor.
