The goal is to charm the other players by writing poems (Using Poetry Cards). Your level of "charmedness" is indicated by how many heart tokens you have left. When you’re out of tokens, you have been courted and are out of the game. There are eight Lover Cards, which indicates how to charm you. The 96 Poetry Cards have poems on them and Lover Card symbols. When four Poetry cards are tabled, you tally up the symbols corresponding to your Lover Card and lose this amount of tokens. The rest of the game is a matter of using the actions “Flirt” and “Play hard to get” in order to keep your tokens to yourself, and to keep your Lover Card hidden. Fun?
