The players are inhabitants of Poor City, trying to accumulate $500 by working in the city or by digging for gold. On your turn, you'll roll the white die (if you have a horse, you'll also roll the black die and use the sum for movement). On a roll of 1 (on the white die), you can move the Indian 1-6 spaces instead - if he lands on a space with a player piece, the player discards his gold. On a roll of 6 (on the white die), you'll draw an event card from either the city or countryside stack. If you land on a space with a gold nugget token, you take it and bring it back to the bank to convert it into gold. You can ordinarily only carry one gold nugget token.
