From the introduction: GOBLINS are crude, cowardly little creatures (about 3 feet tall) that live in underground lairs or any dark, miserable place they can find. Goblins tend to be an undisciplined, chaotic folk that amount to little aside from poor mushrooms farmers or shepherds of underground fauna. Their weak willed nature lends them to being peons and soldiers for evil wizards, warlords, and other ambitious powerful persons that can both frighten and reward them.
