From the introduction: Goalsystem Delves provides rules and adventures for playing character-driven skirmish games in fantasy worlds of mysteries, magic, and monsters. These rules hearken back to the days of classic dungeon crawls and the world’s most popular fantasy RPG. Players take the roles of a group of hardened adventurers seeking treasure, glory, and the defeat of the festering evils that remain hidden in the darkest corners of forgotten dungeons. Adventure Skirmish Role-Play? Skirmish games allow players to do battle on the tabletop using small groups of miniatures, and a skirmish game with role-play aspects empowers players to tell a collective story with their characters as the central actors. In order to play GD, players will need these rules, at least 10 six-sided dice, a handful of counters or poker chips, and an adventuring party containing suitable 15mm or 28mm miniatures. Players will also need a collection of dungeon monster miniatures of different types and sizes, and some suitable terrain. GD works both as a as a Game Master (GM) driven role-play style game and a competitive game (best played with two distinct “sides”).
