From the introduction: G3 is a fun-tasy role-playing game of rescuing grateful damsels in distress, hacking through monstrous hordes, and grabbing all the loot in sight. Fun-tasy means a sword-and-sorcery setting with simple rules and a lighthearted tone. Less gloom-and-doom, more magic-and-mayhem. No one in their right mind suits up for a quick jaunt into a trap-laden and monster-infested dungeon for the hope of some kind of reward if they manage to come out alive. It takes a special kind of crazy. For those that manage to succeed, people tend to go from calling you crazy, to heroic. This is especially true if you manage to get points for rescuing (or picking up) girls, killing stuff, and collecting treasure.
