Publisher's blurb: This is the 71st in an ongoing series aimed to provide the overworked DM with ready-to run encounters. Long ago, the people of the town of Druln faced a terrible choice. Invading orcs and gnolls were but days away. The lord of the town had been slain by her son, Pral, after he arrived with a force of cultists, mercenaries and undead. Lord Pral offered them a choice between accepting the blessing of undeath and embracing death. Some accepted his offer, consuming their fellow townsfolk in a terrible ritual and arising as a strange type of ghoul. Pral and the ghouls drove away the invaders, allowing the town to survive. The town settled back into a bizarre semblance of normalcy with new citizens being “recruited” from adventurers and others who strayed too close to the town. The PCs can engage in the usual practice of killing and looting or they can engage in some role-playing by interacting with the oddly civilized ghouls of ghoul town. This encounter is suitable for parties of level 2-5.
