User Summary GemCraft: Chasing Shadows is the sequel to GemCraft. Gameplay is similar, with the player working to stop bug-like monsters from reaching the mage's tower on a map divided into squares with various possible paths for monsters. The player spends mana to build structures and to craft gems. Gems are placed into the structures to activate them for some effect, such as to shoot monsters, activate special powers, and more. Gems can be combined: similar colours enhance the gem's special power associated with that colour, while mixing colours creates hybrid gems with a mixture of powers.
