Gears & Kysmit

From publisher blurb: What leads a disproportionate number of individuals with powers to pursue a life of crime, mischief, and mayhem? Does the adage regarding absolute power corrupting absolutely apply? Does something about having powers affect how the individual sees or interacts with the rest of the world, perhaps making them less willing to fit in or get along with others? Does the allure of using one’s powers for self-gain prove impossible to resist? One only need study the individual members of the New Breed villain group to realize the answer isn’t simple or straightforward. Each New Breed villain has their own reasons for committing crimes and separating themselves from lawful society. Some commit crimes out of greed or out of a desire to experiment with their powers. Others of the group feel they’ve been cheated and lied to by society and thus aren’t bound by its rules.
