You play a mob boss who manages a clan and tries to defeat other clans by gathering the most money. In Gangster Paradise, you collect money which you have to launder so that it counts for your score. On your turn, you will be able to negotiate with your opponents in order to exchange anything you own: money or cards. Play lasts 8 rounds, divided into 5 phases: each player plays the first phase, then all play a second phase, etc. During phase 1, each clan collects its own type of goods. During phase 2, players participate in as many auctions as there are players less one, each collecting 1 good among those offered, the last player receiving money. During phase 3, players sell their goods, trying to make sets of different goods. During phase 4, players will hire new gang members, by paying sets of similar goods. Members of different types will trigger special effects during the game. During phase 5, players first launder their dirty money, collect some extra money and pay their gang members’ salaries. When all 8 rounds have been played, laundered money is counted and the winner declared.
