The object of the game is to be the first player to collect the specified gold pieces (depending of the number of players) and move any player out of the fortress.... or to be the last surviving player. Each player places four men on the board, which is a map of the fortress. On each turn, a player does four phases Movement phase - determined by roll of the dice. You can move any or all of you men. Combat phase - you fight with anyone you have moved next to. combat is fought with dice. The number of dice thrown is determined by the type of character. The loser of the roll must move back one square... the attacking character eliminates his opponent by winning 10 rolls (or he can't back up any more)...losing one means he stops fighting. Spellcasting phase - If you have a spell casting card, you may play it now. Collection phase - If you are on a treasure coin you can take it and exchange it for a treasure card.
