From the introduction: Fort Crow has the dubious honor of being the most northern fortification of the Barony of Welles. It is run by a young lord, Sir Cunningham. He was stationed here due to his expendability. A station not awarded due to accomplishment. Despite this, Sir Cunningham has taken it upon himself to make improvements to the rundown fort. He has leverage what influence he has to update the soldiers’ weapons and equipment. This has gained him some favor with the sixty soldiers. Especially Sargent Gallen and Sargent Arelius.
