Forest Wars of the Haven is a fantasy wargame based on the novel The Haven (later revised as Forest Wars) by Graham Diamond, the co-designer. The game depicts an assault by the Forces of Man (also called the Forces of the Haven), consisting of humans, wolves, hawks, and eagles, on the camp of the Forest Lords, who control dogs and bats. The gameplay will be familiar to anyone who has played a grand tactical wargame. The system is fairly standard for the period, with some special rules for air support, charging units, and units which can be hidden or have variable loyalty.
