The youngest player goes first On a player's turn, the player has two choices - either draw a game card from the draw pile and follow the instructions on the card or cast a spell card in possession and follow the instructions on the spell card Spell cards are earned two ways - either by stepping on the Spell tile or buying spell cards using the resource tokens in possession at the end of the turn.
