Description

Theme: FlipTales is a party game for creative people! In FlipTales, you and your friends pretend to be different magical characters in a story, working together to advance the plot. It's like Mad-Libs meets Choose-Your-Own-Adventure. Game-play: In each story, one person is the wiz. In each scene of the story, the wiz reads out a prompt, and then the rest of the players freestyle in response. In freestyle, players go in a circle and act out responses to the prompt. Then, they flip their coins in the air. If they get enough heads, they succeed. the wiz decides how many is enough. If your character gets damaged, you have to give up strength coins. Lose them all, and you die. There's a lot of danger in the world of FlipTales so watch out Game setup: - STEP 1: Choose Wiz They read the story and decide the result of the players' flips. - STEP 2: Create characters Everyone else gets 1 creature card and 1 ability card. Your character is the combination of these two cards. - STEP 3: Grab coins Grab the coins indicated on your cards and combine them. When you use your strength, magic, or smarts in the game, flip all your coins of that colour.(or use normal coins with the print & play version) - STEP 4: Pick a story from the storybook Hand it to the wiz. (start with the tutorial the first time) Goal: In FlipTales, you and your friends pretend to be different magical creatures in a story. You win when you get to the end of the story. —description from the designer
