Fighting Force is a 3D Beat 'em up game where the characters have teamed up to try and bring down a criminal mastermind named Dr. Zeng. Each player chooses 1 of the 4 characters to use. Two of the characters, Hawk and Mace, are all-around characters, with slight differences in speed/strength. Another character, Ben "Smasher" Jackson is a strong, slow bruiser character who is considerably larger than the other 3 characters. Alana, the last character, is fast but weak.
