Legends tell of Venterra’s untold wonders and destructive magic, the likes no mortal has ever seen. Fate of Venterra is a war game set in the fictional land of Venterra. A game of pure strategy, every move you make matters and can decide the outcome of the game. Lead one of 5 different factions, as you build structures and recruit units on your path to victory. You must conquer the wilderness, build up your army, crush your enemies, and pursue quests to spread your influence and gain power. The end goal is to be the player with the most victory points by the end of the game and establish your faction's sovereignty over the land. There are many paths to victory, but only one will rule in the end... Who will decide the fate of Venterra? Fate of Venterra is a highly strategic territory control game with very few random elements. Players will each place a terrain board and choose their starting locations after which there are 10 rounds to gain the most victory points and establish your dominion over Venterra. Each round each player will collect income based on their structures, and choose two action cards to play. All players select and reveal their action cards simultaneously. After revealing the chosen actions, each player chooses and resolves their first action in turn order, and then each player resolves the remaining second action in turn order. Throughout the game players build structures, recruit units, claim territories, complete quests and battle other players to gain Victory Points and increase their influence over Venterra. At the end of 10 rounds all players count up Victory Points from all sources and the player with the most Victory Points wins! —description from the publisher
