From the introduction: Epic6 (E6) is a variant of Dungeons & Dragons (3.5 Edition) that lowers the level cap to the "sweet-spot" of level 6. This speeds up the game, and keeps the heroes still relevant but awe-inspiring to the level-0 commoners that is most of the planet's inhabitants. Characters can still advance once they reach 6th-level by taking more feats as they become more specialized in their careers.
