From the introduction: You have been travelling through this forest for the last couple of hours. The pine trees tower above you and create a roof above leaving you in shadow. The road which you are following does not appear to be regularly traveled as fallen branches lie across it and the weeds are numerous. The forest seems to be creeping onto the road, trying to force all civilization out of its midst. As you pick your way along the road, you come across a maiden who is lying, bruised and battered, on the road. No horse is nearby, and she does not seem to be equipped to survive the wilderness. Her loose fitting silk garments are torn and bloody, and deep gashes cover her body. Her hair is blood stained and messy, and her face is covered in blood covered dirt. Upon seeing you she cowers back, fearful for her life.
