Enter the Shadowside: Destiny

From the introduction: It should not come as a surprise for us to learn that our nobler abilities (our capacity to reason, to dream, and even to love) are not at all - and have never been - tied to the fleshy grey matter sitting inside our skull-boxes. No, not it's physiological role - which is well understood and which we share with all higher life-forms, but rather the "quirk" it developed at some point near the dawn of man where it started "catching waves" from somewhere else. Yes, just like an antenna.
