Players can create a character and choose their weapon, and gameplay is centered around defeated people to gain experience. Each character is affiliated with one of the factions in the Dynasty Warriors universe (ie. Wei, Wu, Shu), although a player’s affiliation may be changed later on. A character’s level is determined by how effective they are in battles, and their stats can be adjusted by utilizing different weapons or equipment.
