Description

"Duke Nukem is a 2D side-scrolling platform-shooter video game for the Game Boy Color. Due to RAM and cartridge size constrictions of the Game Boy Color it was presented in the series' original 2D form, and not the first-person 3D style of Duke Nukem 3D. The game features 21 levels of play and eight save game slots. Duke Nukem was Torus Games's first handheld game using 3D Realms's Duke Nukem license (the second being Duke Nukem Advance). The game was sublicensed from then publisher of Duke Nukem games GT Interactive. The game's plot and several of the enemies and backgrounds closely resemble those of the earlier game Duke Nukem II. However, the levels, graphics and music are brand new. Furthermore Duke has the ability to hang onto the edge of platforms in the Game Boy Color game."
