From the introduction: Tarokka is an interpretive card-reading activity that is part of the Ravenloft setting, used by the Vistani, and analogous to real-world tarot cards. A tarokka deck consists of 54 cards, each of which contains an illustration. The cards can be laid out in a specific arrangement in order to read fortunes. The names and illustrations of each card have a symbolic link to a certain theme. For example, the Hangman card represents endings.
