From the introduction: In this time period, the desires of mankind have not reached up to their imagination and dreams. The concept of a fully autonomous robot at this time period is little more that a dream. At this time robots are quite simply, mechanized monstrosities of metal and wires. At this point, most robots are capable of the simplest of orders, like “Attack them” or “Go there and stand”. These are the most complex ideas they can normally fathom. Even though with their limited mental capacity, their natural resilience and impressive durability make them quite impressive to use in battle.
