Description

Publisher's blurb: An expansion for Dark Age: Bushido Introducing Four new Vocational Axioms (Classes) to enhance Character Development: The Uchigane (Striker) The Uchigane strikes quickly, often, and sometimes even before their opponent has made their move. Uchigane techniques require spatial awareness and can be very effective when dealing with multiple opponents. The Rikishi (Wrestler) The application of raw strength is the central focus of the Rikishi. The ability to utilise size, weight and centre of gravity in order to perform a lift, throw, slam or grapple can be treated as an art form by the highest practitioners, and a display of brute power by the lowest. The Kanshi-Sha (Sentinel) The Kanshi-Sha does not adhere to one form of combat; they will use any method necessary to evade attack and pacify a violent situation as soon as they can. When pushed, the Kanshi-Sha may turn an opponent’s aggression against them. The Tatsujin (Master) When the highest techniques available for Uchigane, Rikishi and Kanshi-Sha have been attained, the Character may proceed to learn the techniques of Tatsujin – the Master. Tatsujin techniques fuse striking, wrestling, and counter-fighting to evolve the practitioner into the purest martial artist they can be. DARK AGE: BUSHIDO The Way Of The Empty Hand Discover new techniques to enhance the Player Character’s ability to fight without weapons. Gain knowledge of self, inner peace, and certainty in all events with this guide to self-defence – feudal style. The origins of martial arts were born from necessity; to close with your opponent, especially when they were armed and you were not, took the bushido spirit to the next level. It is little wonder these techniques survive to present day in highly refined forms, and are still renowned as a source of honour and valour, and a positive method to unlock a person’s potential. Learn the way of the empty hand and give your Player Characters a new edge in combat, and a new confidence in their abilities when dealing with story events.
