Welcome to CULT!, a world in which elder evils and beings plot through their minions to wreak havoc on our planet and try to return from the great beyond. This game is obviously inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft and to a great extent Mike Mignola. We wanted to craft something that was fun and easy to play like our first game, CHOMP!, but added a new dimension. This is still a very rules-lite, narrative driven game. It maintains the two six sided dice system we created for CHOMP! and adds rules for monsters to cause temporary insanity in the players. Cult! is a world where the fabric of reality is thin at times, and ancient evils use their pawns to try and break through. The characters you create stumble across these nefarious plots and try to foil the cult’s plans. Whether a detective, or just someone studying late at the local library, it is up to you to stop these monstrous tentacled beings and their minions from shattering reality.
