The mansion of Dr. Marteau overlooks the whole island, with the exception of the Firebreather Volcano. A hidden dock guarded by one of the trusted servants of the doctor, provides an access point for food and goods the doctor buys from the smugglers of Skullcap Island. A small tribe of independent beastmen also exists at the feet of the volcano. These are rebels, that refused Dr. Marteau slavery and that worship some sort of “spirit of the firebreathing mountain”. An ancient sculpture in the rock of the volcano dominates the small village.
