The Mirror War is over, but the destruction remains, and you’ve lived in the ashes. Maybe you grew up in a mystical forest with other elves, blaming the vast swathes of obliterated trees to a war between gods and demons. Maybe you’re a superhuman vigilante, who saw warring aliens come to your beloved city, and you did what you could, but thousands were left dead and whole city blocks destroyed. Maybe your space station on the frontier’s edge was obliterated by unknown invaders wielding unguessable, almost magical weapons, invaders from beyond a strange rift in space and time. Much of your civilization has been destroyed, and you find yourself without a home. It’s time to go explore, and make a place for yourself in the unguessable Realms beyond.
