Connect Five is a crossword-style word game. With only five letters (cards) available at any time, players take turns making words, crossword-style. The set contains 48 letter cards, each with a point value. Six letters are always in play, but you can only use five of them to form interconnected words. One of the six letters must be discarded at the end of each turn. Players take turns drawing one new letter and trying to form one to four interlinked (crossed) words. All letters must be used to form the words. If the letters cannot form word(s), the player's turn is over. On each turn, a player: - draws a new card - adds the letter next to the existing five cards - discards one card - rearranges the cards to form one to four words - score only the new words formed. If all words cannot be formed, the turn is over. Typically two or three words will be formed. On a rare occasion, four words can be formed. All words must be valid.
