From the introduction: Congratulations! You died. And now you are in HELL. But all is not lost, for you have a very special soul. The devil himself has come to you with an offer because of your potential. Instead of suffering for all eternity as one of the multitudes of pathetic human sinners you can become a Demon, to spend your eternity in relative comfort overseeing the prisoners. In order to gain this privilege you must agree to be sent back to earth (your death will be prevented and you will return at the same time you would have died) and cause as much misery and pain, whilst enjoying yourself as possible.
