From publisher blurb: Chimaerus [ kÄ«-mĕr′Ä­s ] is an adventurer-oriented medium sized vessel that is made up of three independent ships: • Leaena (the Lion) - the main body of the ship, holding the living quarters, medical, and FTL systems. This is the largest of the three sections and also serves as a command & control center for the small fleet. • Krios (the Ram) - a boxy freighter that is little more than a long hold with a small cabin and flight deck on top. When docked it sits between the forward mandibles of the main hull and serves as the primary cargo hold for Chimaerus. • Drakon (the Dragon) - an armored drop ship or sturdy passenger shuttle. It docks facing rearward at the tail end of the Leaena hull with it’s turret serving as a tail gunner emplacement. The purpose of Chimaerus is to provide a mobile base of operations for a group of heroes or mercenaries, but one that can split up when needed to accomplish more. There are half a dozen cabins on board, plus ten capsule-bunks for additional crew, marines, or passengers; and a couple more beds on the freighter and in the brig if needed. The ship is well armed and armored; more than capable of handling itself in a fight. The Drakon attack shuttle can serve as an armored dropship, passenger transport, or recon vessel. Even the Krios cargo ship could serve as a missile boat while Leaena coordinates the attacks and brings its own considerable firepower to bear.
