Children of the Blue Star is a setting. It details the fantasy world of Yinkha, which can be used with any system but specifically is tailored to Fuzion and C.A.R.D.S. The setting exists as a series of text documents, accessible for download from the main page: - Midsummer Winter's Festival (Fiction) - Kamea (Fiction) - Spell Book of Adea - Rules of the COTBS System - Thesis on Magic - Thesis on Planestravel - More on Magic The document "Spell Book of Adea" does present spells but they are suitable for narrative use only; much of the information is presented as brief fiction. The document "Rules of the COTBS System" presents a task resolution system based on player skill, but there is no actual mechanic involves--the "game co-ordinator determine[s] the outcome of any tasks performed". This appears to be an early narrative system which was intended to be replaced by the C.A.R.D.S. mechanic (or a suitable mechanic from Fuzion).
