According to Sid Sacksons "A Gamut of Games", 2nd edition (not in first), page 218: Tiles with numbers from 1 to 15 are played to a many-hexed board. New tiles are added in numerical order, or against two or more that add up to the tile played. Letters on the other face of the tiles are for a similar word game.
