User Summary Inspired by Company of Heroes and World in Conflict, Cepheus Protocol takes place in San Fransisco as the Pangu Virus has turned innocent civilians into aggressive beasts that are immune to pain. The virus mutates quickly, creating new strains and variations that create new and more powerful beasts. The player must contain the outbreak, regain control of San Francisco, and prevent the virus from turning into a pandemic. The game features multiple combat styles, each with their own specialized unit options. Players take on the role of Captain Winter, a military officer with the full resources of the U.S. Government and fictional Center for Epidemic Research (CERC) at her disposal. This allows the player to build a variety of combat units, weapons, vehicles, and much more. Another element of the game is the patient zero mechanic. Players must hunt down patient zero or risk losing territory, spreading of the virus, and new mutations. Taking advantage of the chaos, multiple factions develop, and players can choose either to form alliances with them or attack them for their resources and territory.
