From the introduction: Lost in the Darklands to the west of the Imperial borderlands is the ruined city known only as The Shambles. Most people vaguely know of it by its legend, that it was once a thriving and rich city but was abandoned quickly after some disaster afflicted the city., which varies depending on who tells the tale. Over the years, it has attracted dedicated treasure hunters, who currently live in the ramshackle settlement of Tent Town that squats near the ruin's cyclopean walls. The player characters are newly arrived in Tent Town, hoping to make their fortunes in The Shambles. Almost immediately, one of the residents tells them of a wyrm, an immature limbless dragon, that has been sighted flying just over the walls of the ruin. A large reward is offered for its slaying. Should the characters take up this goal, or should they choose another way of completing their Quest?
