Description

User Summary Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (also referred to as simply Modern Warfare 2) is a first-person shooter developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Windows PC. The single player story mode is a direct sequel to Call of Duty 4, and includes several characters familiar to that game. During the single-player game players will take control of five different characters in a world-spanning story of war, terrorism, and espionage. The Special Ops mode contains challenging stand-alone missions which can be played solo or 2 player co-op (online or split screen). Completing missions earns you "stars" which unlock more missions. Multiplayer may be played on-line (up to 18 players) or local split screen (up to 4 players). There are many multiplayer game modes including kill-based (eg Team Deathmatch, Free For All) and objective-based (eg Capture the Flag, Demolition) as well as Hardcore versions which feature limited displays and friendly fire. Multiplayer features Classes which allow you to customize your play style by selecting you weapons (assault rifles, pistols, launchers, etc), attachments (scopes, silencers, etc), Perks (upgrades to your character such as faster reloads and silent footsteps), and Killstreaks (air support awarded for multiple kills in a row, ranges from UAV to tactical nukes). All of these may be unlocked and upgraded by earning experience points through kills as well as completing challenges.
