Similar in many ways to their 5e counterparts, these spells are described in the context of this modern world, with each spell providing game masters with a brief description of how onlookers might perceive the magic. Likewise, this edition explains and expands attunement. Heroes in Bloodlines & Black Magic can attune to more than just magical weapons; heroes can attune to magical places, otherworldly entities (via pacts and familiars), trusted allies, skills, their bloodline abilities, and the special items they find throughout the Invisible World. In addition to updating each of the bloodlines and all seven classes from the original game, this edition of the book gives players and game masters a chapter filled with backgrounds, as well as additional options to enhance or deepen your hero's story. Players will find pages of additional options that let them expand their character's history, their resources, and help them deepen their stories. Blending the visual approach of a black & white project, this edition of the book bends some of the colors back into the Invisible World, giving readers updates to the art throughout the book. While the content in this book mirrors much of what is found in the black & white edition, this version includes updates and errata. Bloodlines & Black Magic is a horror roleplaying game that addresses the monsters lurking in the supernatural realms, as well as the broken people in our world.
