Author's blurb: Birkenau is a dark drama about four Jews and their experiences before and during The Second World War. The four meet on the train to Auschwitz-Birkenau and become friends when they are forced to play in the camp's orchestra. As musicians they bear witness to the extermination of their own people and must choose, if they will resist against impossible odds.
