Game Info

Description

"An exciting race against time to get your peas to the Birds Eye factory. But watch out, your opponents' harvesters and shuttle lorries aren't far behind. And your peas may not be small enough or picked quickly enough to satisfy Birds Eye quality controllers. So get your harvesters rolling. The first grower to unload a batch of peas wins!" A collect a coupon promotional game which Birds Eye offered in 1981 to its consumers suitable for Ages 7 and up. The game is split into 2 phases, Harvesting and Delivery. Each player takes it in turns to roll the dice and move around the outside spiral of the board representing "The farm" and stop at various harvest areas to collect magnetic pea counters which stick to the top of your harvester. Action Cards are drawn whenever a player lands on an action card space, consequences range between delays or move backs and extra moves or turns. The player then aims to get to the transfer area and begin the delivery phase taking the shortest route they can to reach the factory. Delays or detours are printed on the board and must be taken if landed on. At the factory the player draws cards in order to unload peas of the matching color. The standout feature of the game are the two sets of playing pieces (Harvesters and Lorries) which were nicely detailed with the Birds Eye logo on the side and had a small piece of metal in the top for the magnetic peas to stick to.
