Description

Battlefield is a Chinese Stratego rip-off, but with some differences. For a start, each player has 44 pieces instead of 40. There are half a dozen unit count differences, plus a different rank name. Additionally, instead of lower rank number defining victory, the piece with the highest points wins. Flag; 0 points, 1 piece Marshal; 15 points, 1 piece General; 10 points, 1 piece Colonel; 9 points, 3 pieces Major; 8 points, 4 pieces Captain; 7 points, 5 pieces Lieutenant; 6 points, 5 pieces Sergeant; 5 points, 5 pieces Miner; 4 points, 4 pieces Soldier; 3 points, 9 pieces Spy; 2 points, 1 piece Bomb; 1 point, 5 pieces I'm yet to find any significant rules differences from Stratego. The game itself is "travel friendly". That is to say that it uses a plastic box where the lid flips over to reveal the playing board, though it's pushing the definition of "travel-sized". The instructions are on the back of the packaging. There are no credits or dates anywhere on the packaging or game, just "Made in China". It is apparently "Item No. 3313".
