User Summary Axiom Verge is a 2D retro-style metroidvania action/exploration game created by one single person: Thomas Happ. The player takes on the role of Trace, a man suffering from a fatal injury who gets teleported into a strange dimension where he needs to defeat a being called Apotheos who threatens the galaxy. Heavily inspired by Metroid and Castlevania, Axiom Verge consists of exploring around the big complex, collecting various powerups and special abilities that gradually enables the player to reach further and further areas.
